  1. I’ve been natural for 4 weeks after ditching 10 years of weave wearing. I have learnt love my natural hair and enjoy educating myself about how to care for it (doing so I came across your blog). I love wearing my hair down, in a twist out, but I’m trying to strengthen it and grow out a relaxed horse shoe, the area I used to leave out of my weave. Last week I got two wigs and they have helped me to stop playing with my hair for 4 days, my aim is for a month of no stress or combing for my hair. Like you I was a bit nervous about it especially as I have a 4 month old who tugs at my hair! But I know I will reap benefits late so for now I’m wiggin it.

Looking forward to natural November and your seminar.

    • Hi Jen good to hear from you. Congrats on your journey it’s not easy but it’s worth it I think. Being natural we have a choice. Lucky you’ve only got the horseshoe to concentrate on, but I know what you mean about constantly putting your hands in your hair. Wigs are not for everyone but they have been a hair saver for me. Even when I am fully natural I will wear them because I love how easy they are to wear, and the ability to change how I look in a split second without any effort. Please come and say hello on Sunday. Hope to hear from you again!
