Are your Box Braids, Plaits or Twists too heavy for you?
Hair extensions are almost always guaranteed to look beautiful, but be careful what you do whilst wearing them.
- Don’t skip, run or jump too much whilst wearing hair extensions. The pressure on your own hair is likely to result in your hair being plucked from the roots resulting in possible long term hair loss.
- If your extensions are more then shoulder length do not wet them without providing support. Eg, holding them up with your hands or under a cap. Wet hair is heavy and this can again put pressure on your hair roots.
- Do not overload each portion of your own hair with too much hair extension. The shorter and smaller the bundle of hair the better. The less weight equals less long term damage to your roots and scalp.
Our hair is just like any other material, put too much pressure on it and it will stretch, snap and can cause irreparable damage!
